to enable the formation of a network of small scale farmers and fisher based organisations in Ghana to empower individuals and members in order to contribute to agriculture development, economic growth and sustainable use of natural resources.

Objectives of FONG

The main objective of FONG is to unite and build a strong, visible and viable network of small-scale farmer and fisher based organizations and to contribute to food security.

The specific objectives of FONG are as follows; (i) Enhance the capacity of member organizations to enable them achieve their aim and objectives, (ii) Advocate for good and appropriate agriculture policies for the benefit of small-scale operators in Ghana, (iii) Create a platform for learning through information dissemination, exchange visits, experience documentation and sharing, (iv) Collaborate with networks that share FONG’s vision and aspirations national and international, (v) Promote and adopt sustainable management practices of natural resources associated with agriculture.
